Several Butterfly Cap Stickers are now available in the shop, including one for this year’s Fixed Axle February!
These stickers are sized to fit on Duncan Butterfly Caps, though honestly, you can stick’em wherever you like. Each comes as either a white sticker or a holo-silver sticker.

I know, I know. The thing is, Fixed Axle February takes a LOT of planning (though the heads of the Yoyo Boomers Club do most of that work.) I wanted to make sure FAF items were available AHEAD of time so that people could get them in time for the event!
So here’s what Throw-Yo and the YYBC have put together this year!
The final thread order I was awaiting finally showed up, and now Serum Strings are in the shop! These ultra-plush strings are 100% nylon and are the answer to all those who don’t like the feel of other Throw-Yo strings. While super soft, these strings are still Throw-Yo tight!
2024 Throw-Yo is SO last year. Now it’s time to welcome 2025 Throw-Yo, and I’m doing so with some new products and a more streamlined shop.
Throw-Yo is shifting this year to focus more on the SOLUTIONS line, handmade products meant to enhance your yo-yo experience.
New to the String line, Detergents are 100% rayon for ultra-long life, super slippy play, and ultra-fast whips. Available in two colors, Neurotoxin and Tidewater, more colors will arrive throughout the year.
With the holiday colors leaving the shop, I needed some permanent additions to the Vapor line of strings. Silver Nitrate and Methylene Blue are sure to please with their softer feel and bright appeal.
The Serum line, my 100% wooly nylon strings, will be a bit delayed due to a few issues with the thread order. Don’t fear, though, they’ll arrive soon!
Two new Gummy Counterweights, Big Shroom and Flat Hex, have been added to the shop. Both are currently only in Soul Purple (I need to get more plastisol!) Big Shroom is a whopping 23g, while Flat Hex is 8g and has options for the string hole to be punched on top or one of the sides.
I’ve removed a LOT of tees from the shop, pretty I’m much sticking to the Signature Throw and Throw Down designs. It’s a brand identity I want to push. Many of the other designs are still available as stickers and patches.

We’re closing in on the end of 2024, and I will be restructuring Throw-Yo a bit in 2025. I did this at the end of 2024 and will continue to do so as I refine Throw-Yo Threads. 2024 saw the introduction of the SOLUTIONS string line, homemade 3D-printed resin counterweights, and recycled plastisol counterweights. I also released more collaborations with different organizations, expanding my options with the Yoyo Boomers Club and doing work with Dedhed Designs, Overtinkering, and the DMV Club.
2025 will focus more on the SOLUTIONS line, expanding from strings to include counterweights and other homemade yo-yo accessories. Apparel options will drop to the core Signature Throw and Throw Down lines*, and more sticker and patch options will be available. I will also look into more collaboration apparel, strings, accessories, and maybe even a throw.
As we count down to the end of the year, you’ll see items start to disappear from the shop. The first will be the Enso tees, which leave the shop at the end of this week. If you’ve been looking to get one of these tees, now is the time to snag one before they’re gone for good!

For those unfamiliar with the G2 Workhorse, it’s a modern responsive yo-yo that Jake from G2 made in collaboration with the Yoyo Boomers Club (of which I am a member.) Two prototypes were released, and the production Workhorse is now on its way. The cool part? Each Workhorse will come with a Throw-Yo Elixir string made specifically for each colorway. This will be the first-ever yo-yo release Throw-Yo has supplied strings for, and I could not be more excited!
Without further ado, here are the strings that come with the Workhorse. The colorway you order will determine the string you’ll get with the yo-yo. Each Workhose will include an Elixir string, a lo-fi “Throw” sticker, and a QR code to purchase more string.
The first-ever Throw-Yo string was a Monobath Potion, a white and black 100% spun poly string. Monobath Chroma pays homage to that string, but as a 100% trilobal poly Elixir made of black and silver threads. Perfect for the Founders Edition Workhorse.
Amalthea Elixirs, named after The Last Unicorn, will come with the Unicorn Workhorse. It’s a tricolor string with purple, pink, and black, with the purple coming through a bit heavier than the other two threads.
How could we have a Workhorse without a Woody Wagon Stain string? The Workhorse V1 had 100% spun poly Woody Wagon Stain. The V2 has a spun/trilobal blend. The G2 Off-Road colorway will come with a 100% trilobal Woody Wagon Stain string.
Made for the G2 Gotham colorway, Booster Elixirs are blue and yellow, just like an annoying hero who shows up in Gotham from time to time. Skeets not included.
UPDATE: Vermillion Elixirs are being replaced with Visco Elixirs
Visco Elixirs are a mix of green and steel, emulating a firework fuse. Very fitting for the Cherry Bomb colorway Workhorse. The closeup doesn’t do it justice. It looks like a fuse when you string up a yo-yo! It also kinda fits since this is a Yoyo BOOMERS Club throw.
My favorite color string I make is Soul Purple Elixirs. For the clear Workhorse, I wanted to show off a bit of myself, but “upgraded” a bit for this release. Pure Soul Purple Elixirs are purple and silver instead of the normal purple and steel. Unlike the Monobath Chroma, where each color wraps around the other, Pure Soul Purple blends both colors together in each twist of the string.
