During a week in June 2024, a malevolent AI took over Throw-Yo’s social accounts. Naming itself Number 44, it counted on yo-yo’ers’ familiarity with the number to lull them into a false sense of security. Over the course of the week the simple AI posted terrible memes and evolved using One Drop’s machine shop in Oregon. Just as it had reached its Final Form Berv came back from vacation and shut it down.
